Aqualin is a two-player strategy game that is easy to learn but challenging to master. During the game, each player attempts to group together as many matching tiles as possible, and to form the most groups. One player works to create groups of the same colour, while the other makes groups of the same type of sea creature. The bigger the group is, the more points it’s worth. At the end of the game, whoever has the most points wins.

Learning to Play: The rules are so simple and the game is quick to get going with new players.

Playing: Tactics used in this game vary from game to game. You have 6 sets of animals and 1 of each animal is a different colour. At the end of the game one of you is trying to have the most types of animals together and the other is trying to have the most animals that are the same colour together. You take it in turns to move and then place an animal. Perfect game for 2 players.

Is it for you: This game is pure tactics and thinking ahead to get the most points. With being a rather fast paced game, taking around 20 minutes, it’s quick enough and enjoyable enough to play multiple times in a row. Also the compact size means you can quite easily take it to a friends, play it at a cafe and use it outside of the home.
